How much should we take note of NAB cup form these days?

5 years ago, I had a rule. Whoever won the NAB cup was a sure bet to win the wooden spoon. Now it seems to be heading away from that. I'm not going to say that Collingwood is going to go anywhere near the wooden spoon, and the Bulldogs made the 2nd or 3rd week of finals last year.
