Hi,iam 22 yrs male suffering from telogen effluvium please help.?

it has been past some months around last year november2010 i felt my scalp hair hair thinning.i usually had hair fall in excess about more than 100 strands a day but that never affected my hair volume but now its june and my scalp is quite visible in the daylight.i shaved my head in april but after 2 months hence then many hairs are still in rudimentary stage and they are not growing whatever supplements both topical or iron vitamin tablets i took.by the way theres no hair line recession and it shows symptoms of telogen efluvium doctors are no worth here as they "cant say anything" .please do say if those rudimentary hairs would grow to normal size and how.
