Does it get darker earlier in higher elevations?

yes im not really sure with specific places but i know that im in the uk near london and todayis thelongest day and the sun rise is at 4.42am and sets at 9.24pm while up noth in the north west of scotland the sunrise is at 4.19am but sets at 10.34! this is because they are further north and west as us and this is why the north pole in the summer has 24hours of daylight and it doesnt get dark till winter but then they have 24hours of NO sunlight! so the closer you are to the north pole in the mid summer the more daylight youll recieve! :P
